The season of The Bachelor, there has been a lot of focus on Corinne Olympios and her crazy antics, but Nick Viall is here to defend her.

During this season of The Bachelor, we have seen a lot of Corinne Olympios, and not a lot of anyone else. But whether you like Olympios or not, it can’t be disputed that she is entertaining.

Corrine says a lot of crazy things on the show, and behaves even more crazy, but this is why she’s getting the screen-time. Of course it is edited in a way to make her seem crazy 24/7, but according to the bachelor himself, that’s certainly not the case.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, bachelor Nick Viall defended Corrine, saying that while she is indeed wild, but she does have a normal side too. We saw an example of that last week when she was trying chocolate at the end of Monday’s episode.

Viall says he likes her, because she is fun, and doesn’t take herself too seriously. “You can be serious, and you can take serious situations very seriously, while still having fun, or not taking yourself too seriously. I think Corinne is the antithesis of that,” he said (seriously) .

He then goes on to explain why Corinne is still around, despite the fact most people think they are not compatible. “It’s the women who can really just say like, ‘hey let’s have some fun.’ And you know, help drive the conversations are the ones who seem to have the most success with moving the relationships forward. In different ways, Rachel and Corinne were very good at that.”

Comparing Rachel who seems to have a legitimate shot with Viall, to Corinne seems very wrong, but if you consider their personalities they are quite similar.

Viall seems to defend Olympios a lot, and even compares her outspoken ways to himself.
