This past week’s episode of The Bachelor saw a handful of fan favorites being sent home, three of which devastated Nick.

As this season of The Bachelor gets closer to the end, Nick has to start narrowing down who his future wife will be.

This most recent week’s episode was a massacre of sorts, as a slew of fan favorites were sent home. It wasn’t just the fans who were devastated by these late eliminations, but also Nick took three of them particularly hard.

In his weekly diary with People Magazine, Nick broke down why he was so heart broken about these three eliminations:

Jasmine:

Nick sent her home during a group date. As he was talking to other girls, Jasmine couldn’t keep her composure and spent the whole time talking about how she didn’t feel special. When it was finally her time to talk with Nick, she continued on her outrage.

When she explained her feelings to Nick he understood her frustration. He explained that he didn’t feel like they had the same level of connection as they did in the beginning. His feelings with the other girls are more advanced than the feelings he has for Jasmine.

After she said she wanted to strangle him for not taking her on a date, he told her that it would be best if she left.

Whitney:

On a two-on-one date Whitney was sent home. He got up during the date and told Whitney that he didn’t think they had the kind of connection he was looking for.

Although it seemed to be out of the blue, it was clear that Nick had his mind made up.

Danielle L.:

During the second half of the two-on-one date, Nick sent Danielle home. Typically only one person goes home during a this type of date, but this time it was two.

Danielle said she was falling in love with Nick, and he couldn’t say it back. It seemed as though he knew she liked him more than he liked her, and didn’t want to hurt her more.

Although this decision was quick, and quite sad, it’s better than stringing her along.

Nick seemed devastated for each of these decisions, but ultimately it seems that he knows what he wants. In the end, he is doing what is best for him.
