Bachelor host Chris Harrison said it would be ‘incredible’ to have Rachel Lindsay as the next.

Rachel Lindsay has been a top contender to be chosen by current bachelor Nick Viall, and has sparked many people’s interest in her continuing with the franchise.

With the Bachelor franchise under scrutiny by viewers to become more diverse, having Lindsay in the lead role as The Bachelorette could be the beginning of a new chapter.

During an interview between show host Chris Harrison and US Weekly, the possibility of Lindsay being the next Bachelorette was discussed.

“We would be lucky to have her, as we would with several of these women. She’s beautiful, smart, talented,” Harrison said to US Weekly.

Of course we don’t yet know the fate of Lindsay in the current season of The Bachelor. If bachelor Viall were to chose Lindsay, that would certainly take her out of contention to be the next Bachelorette.

Harrison also said in his interview with US Weekly, “If she doesn’t end up with Nick, [she] will be among many that are overqualified to be the Bachelorette. She would be incredible.”

Lindsay is a lawyer, who is also beautiful and very charismatic, saying she is ‘overqualified’ is definitely an understatement.

Being the host, Harrison obviously knows whether Viall and Lindsay end up together, but he definitely won’t spoil it. Although hearing of his positive thoughts surrounding Lindsay being the Bachelorette, it’s definitely exciting to think about.

All those hoping for a more diverse Bachelor and Bachelorette cast, Lindsay could be the beginning of a much more diverse Bachelor experience for everyone.
