Bachelor in Paradise couple Carly and Evan almost met before the show

Carly Waddell and Evan Bass officially met on season three of the Bachelor in Paradise, but had the chance to meet previously outside the show.

During their stay in paradise, the two went from meeting for the first time to being engaged.

The two almost met before appearing on BiP and this may have changed the fate of their relationship on the show.

Bass and Waddell lived very close to each other in Nashville. Living in the same city meant there were many chances for them to bump into each other, but there was one time in particular that they almost met.

In an interview with Bustle, Bass talked about the time he saw Waddell at a bar, but decided not to approach her.

This decision may have seriously helped the two of them build a solid relationship during the show. If the couple were to have met before filming BiP, there may have been many more obstacles.

At the beginning Waddell voiced her dislike for Bass, and made it clear she wasn’t as interested in him as he was in her.

After a trip to the hospital with Bass, their relationship seemed to change for the better. After this point it seemed Waddell had let go of her reservations, and was just ready to pursue a genuine relationship.

Following Bass’s hospital visit the two began to bond on a deeper level when Waddell saw a different side to Bass. This is when the two began to form a deep and genuine bond.

Their connection continued, and deepened with every strange date they went on.

In the end Bass ended up proposing to Waddell, and the two are now continuing to plan their wedding.
