The Bachelor Nick Viall wants us all to know that one of the best moments of that intense group date to a farm was something we never even saw.

This past week’s episode of The Bachelor got down and dirty in more than one way. The group date to a farm was something we all assumed might fly off the rails, being that it’s a messy date in-of-itself and it involved Corrine.

But while there was no doubt tension to go around, things were a lot lighter than initially expected. In fact, there were a few moments that Nick Viall specifically remembers as being hilarious, but were moments that didn’t end up being showed to America.

Nick elaborated in his weekly journal that the funniest moment of the group date was something that never made it to air.

"Picture this: All of us on top of the hill with farmer Charlie holding a wheel of cheese. Charlie tossed the cheese down the hill, and the second the cheese was tossed, it was a race to the cheese. I mean, I’ve never seen girls move faster in my life. Kristina made it to the cheese first and the other girls victoriously cheered around her. It was seriously the funniest and weirdest moment of the day and Kristina continued to snack on the cheese for the rest of the date."

This is unfortunate for a couple of reasons.

Mainly, it’s disappointing to hear that a moment which struck such a chord with Nick and the girls didn’t end up getting shared. We understand things get cut for runtime, but if it was that special of a moment then that’s worth seeing.

That then fractures into the whole Corinne villain narrative that some — even Nick — are beginning to imply is a creation. While there is no denying that Corinne is hands down the villain of this season’s Bachelor, comments made by her mother this week reminded us that the power of editing can change our perceptions of people.

Corinne is still who she is, but the editing of the show and what we are seen and what is held from us is influencing how we view certain house members. Either way, seeing special moments like this that are free of tension are ones we wouldn’t mind seeing left in The Bachelor as we near the final stretch.
