Corrine has gone to war with the other contestants vying for the affections of The Bachelor Nick Viall, constantly interrupting them.

The cocktail parties during any season of The Bachelor franchise leads to a wonderful smorgasbord of jealousy, insecurities and confrontations. There is limited time to snag The Bachelor and get to know him, and conversely, let him get to know each contestant.

There is no structure, no equal division of time. It’s a dog eat dog world were the strong thrive and the timid get left out.

Right now, Corrine is establishing herself as one of the strong at these parties. This has led to her establishing herself as both an alpha and an enemy during these parties. After the group date during Episode 2, which she won, Corrine was the first to snag some alone time with Nick.

The first to get alone time usually gets more than the rest of the contestants, or so it seems. Contestants are more patient at the beginning and grow more desperate for time at the end of the show. As mentioned, there are no guidelines on how to divide time between the contestants and it becomes a free for all. But there is a certain unwritten code of ethics and conduct. If you’ve had time, don’t continuously take more time preventing other contestants to get a few moments of one-on-one time.

But Corrine doesn’t play by the rules, she interrupted Alexis, who seemed baffled.

“Can I interrupt you guys,” Corrine says.

“Wait, what?” Alexis asks.

“I’m interrupting you,” Corrine declares.

When Alexis returns, the women are clearly irate that Corrine is trying to get more time by edging out the other women. One of the other contestants implores someone to interrupt Corrine from off camera. Another says that “that’s not okay.”

Then Taylor is having some one-on-one time with Taylor and Corrine comes to interrupt a second time, for her third chance to talk with Nick.

But Taylor won’t take it standing down, and re-interrupts Corrine to get back some more of her time.

Corrine loses it and is irate, calling it “very rude” and claiming there is a “way to go about things.” That’s ironic considering she seems to only be going about things her way with disregard for the other women.

Later in the episode Corrine lectures the others about things getting awkward going forward and to expect it, perhaps with a bit of a drunken slur. Needless to say, the contestants who act the way Corrine is doesn’t normally lead to an engagement at the end of the show. Usually it means added tension and a ride home.

But for now, Taylor is the hero we all need to rally around.
